Design brand THETHING first stationed in Sanlitun, Beijing

THETHING, a renowned domestic fashion design brand, officially made its debut at Beijing Sanlitun South Plaza. The opening of the brand’s first concept store in Sanlitun marks a significant milestone in its five-year development journey and represents a new creative breakthrough in China. More than just a retail space, the Sanlitun Concept Store serves as a platform to showcase outstanding creative talents across various fields in China. On the opening day, the store unveiled its first art window, designed by acclaimed artist Huang Wei, who also collaborated with the THETHING design team to release a limited edition T-shirt collection. Founded in 2005 in Shanghai, THETHING was inspired by the rapid growth of Chinese creativity. Known for blending graphic design with fashion, the brand has become a prominent name in the domestic apparel industry. THETHING believes that clothing can express emotions, attitudes, and culture, and it embraces a playful and fun spirit in its designs. The brand encourages creativity and individuality, helping people stay true to their own style while keeping up with trends. This time, THETHING opened its concept store in the iconic VILLAGE Sanlitun area, aiming to bring its unique attitude to a broader audience. The store will feature a monthly collaboration with top creative minds in China. For this launch, the brand partnered with well-known illustrator Huang Wei to create the first art window titled “God of Love.” Huang Wei infused traditional oriental elements into the design, portraying a city full of desire and a quiet guardian of love. He believes that love is a powerful force driving urban development. In addition to the art window, the THETHING design team introduced the “THETHING T-shirt” collection, inspired by current social topics and reinterpreted through the brand’s signature style. This collection is exclusively available at the Sanlitun Concept Store. The opening also allowed the brand to refresh its product lineup, offering both summer collections and reimagined classic pieces from the past five years, giving customers a deeper understanding of the THETHING brand.
