Jiangxi Textile Exports Nearly 1.9 Billion U.S. Dollars

According to Nanchang Customs, in the first half of this year, Jiangxi exported 1.88 billion U.S. dollars worth of textiles and clothing, an increase of 41% over the same period of last year. Among them, exports of clothing and clothing accessories were US$1.4 billion, an increase of 46.5%; exports of textile yarns, fabrics and products were US$480 million, an increase of 27%.

It is understood that Jiangxi's textile and clothing exports have risen month by month since March of this year, and exported 500 million U.S. dollars in May, an increase of 71.5% year-on-year, a 36.3% increase from the previous period and a new record high; in June, they fell back to 420 million U.S. dollars. The growth still reached 23.1%. At present, ASEAN, the European Union and the United States are still the top three export markets for Jiangxi textile and apparel. In the first half of the year, Jiangxi's textile and apparel exports to ASEAN, the European Union and the United States were 310 million U.S. dollars, 260 million U.S. dollars, and 220 million U.S. dollars, which increased by 81.7%, 13.7%, and 20.8%, respectively, and accounted for 42.4% of the above three market exports. In addition, private enterprises export more than 80% of textile and apparel exports. In the first half of the year, private enterprises in Jiangxi exported 1.51 billion U.S. dollars worth of textiles and clothing, an increase of 54%, accounting for 80.2% of the province's total value of textile and apparel exports.
