India's cotton supply declined sharply from October 1 to December 25

India is the second largest cotton producer in the world. According to the latest data from India’s state-owned cotton company, during the cotton harvesting period, the number of cotton was reduced from 11.8 million bales last year to 8.8 million bales.

Kishor Tiwari, a cotton farmers' rights activist, said that cotton farmers are in deep trouble. Vidarbha cotton growers cannot discuss this issue in isolation. Therefore, the Indian government should immediately raise the minimum support price nationwide.

This year, India has more than 12,200 hectares of cotton planted, and the area of ​​cotton planted is the largest in the world. However, the number of cotton arrivals has recently dropped significantly, indicating that this year's cotton production may be less than 30 million bales, compared with 35 million bales last year. The problem is very serious. As a result, Indian cotton farmers are in desperate need of a rescue plan to make up for the huge economic losses they have caused due to the soaring harvest, investment, and planting costs.
