It is reported that the Russian Primary School in Busch County, Xichang City, Sichuan Province was founded in 1963. After several renovations, the current schoolhouse is a two-story, brick-concrete structure with six classrooms. There are 6 classes in 1-6 grades and 147 students. More than half of the children in the school and its neighboring village schools are required to walk more than 2 hours a day to go to school and leave school. Many children can only wear a pair of barefoot sandals all year round. Even many children walk barefoot on the school road. Thankfully, with the help of a free lunch from a private foundation, children have been able to ensure that they can eat meat dishes once a week.
