On September 4, the 2014 China Apparel Conference and Xinjiang High-end Forum on the Development of Garment Industry was held in Urumqi, Xinjiang.

Before the conference was held, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Party Committee Standing Committee and the executive vice president of the autonomous region Huang Wei met with the president of the China National Textile and Apparel Federation and Wang Tiankai, president of the China Garment Association.
