MOFCOM Announces Prolonged Announcement of Spandex Anti-dumping Measures

The Ministry of Commerce recently issued an announcement on the expiration of anti-dumping measures for spandex.

On October 13, 2006, the Ministry of Commerce issued an announcement No. 74 of 2006 that decided to impose anti-dumping duties on imported spandex originating in the United States, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan. The anti-dumping measures have been implemented since October 13, 2006 and will expire on October 13, 2011. From the date of this announcement, domestic companies or natural persons, legal persons or related organizations representing domestic industries may submit an application for final review in writing to the Ministry of Commerce 60 days before the expiration date of the anti-dumping measures. The application should contain sufficient evidence to require a clear indication of the final review and termination of the anti-dumping measures that may lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping and damage.

If the domestic industry or a natural person, legal person or related organization representing the domestic industry did not submit an application for review, and the Ministry of Commerce did not initiate a final review before the expiry date of the anti-dumping measure, the above anti-dumping measures will be terminated on October 13, 2011. Implementation.
